David Horsburgh

Photographer

Photographer, Drone Operator, Videographer, floor planner (true), environmentalist, conservationist. I enjoy photographing emotion, e.g. artists or musicians at work, nature, macro, abstract, architecture, in fact I like what I like and will photograph it.

I also enjoy photographing in Spring, capturing early signs of life coming back in nature after winter, then again Summer isn’t too bad either, come to think of it Autumn can be glorious, and of course Winter dramatic. My favourite time of year is whatever time it is.

“It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. Just take a closer look, give it time…nothing is ordinary.”

“Inspired by mum, who was the official family photographer (despite having a knack of cutting off heads), I’ve wandered from a Kodak Instamatic to a Zenith TTL (a shutter like a portcullis), then an Olympus OM20, to various small pocket digital cameras, before migrating to a Canon 400D, then a Canon 6D and finally my Canon 5D MK IV, I’ve photographed my whole life.”

Snowdrops below a Juniper tree. What would cause them to grow in a circle (assuming the elves didn’t do it), so they parasite onto fungal growth, a la some fungi rings? #wildflowerhour @plantlife.loveplants @plantlifescot @naturescot
